The David Appelman Memorial Endowment

A graduate of Berkley High School, David Appleman grew up and lived his life in southeast Michigan. He graduated from Wayne State University and had a Masters Degree in social work, but David thrived on whatever life offered. He was an athlete, a musician and loved the outdoors, but perhaps his favorite way to pass the time was being with people, talking about the things he loved. David was a resident of the Teitel Apartments in Oak Park and loved discussing music, science fiction, sports and current events among other things with the staff and residents. His sense of humor, even while fighting multiple sclerosis, was a testament to his bravery and love for life. A concert is held each year at Teitel in David's memory.
