Helen Naimark Assisted Meals Fund
A native of Watertown, N.Y., she studied English at the University of Michigan and was active in the campus Hillel; her first job was director of the B’nai B’rith Youth Organization in Detroit. She was involved in numerous Jewish causes throughout her life, serving as vice president of the Jewish Federations Women’s Division and founder of Dor L’Dor, a program providing older adults an opportunity to get together with one another while interacting with young students. Helen served as the first Executive Director of JAS from 1978-1991.
The Helen Naimark Assisted Meals fund helps subsidize the cost of kosher meals for qualifying residents of JAS.
