Hechtman I and Hechtman II are located on the Marcia
and Eugene Applebaum Jewish Community Campus in
West Bloomfield.

Hechtman I has 103 subsidized one-bedroom apartments
and is open to residents 62 and older or for those who
require the design features of a barrier free or physically
handicapped apartment. The rent is subsidized through the
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Nutritionally supervised Kosher dinners are served Monday
through Friday for an additional monthly fee. An extra person
charge applies when more than one person occupies
an apartment.

Hechtman II offers 89 one-bedroom market rate apartments,
2 studio market rate apartments and 7 market rate
apartments with subsidies available. Residency is only
available for those 62 years of age and older. Five kosher
meals a week (dinner Monday-Friday) are included in the
monthly rent. An extra-person charge applies when more
than one person occupies an apartment.
